One Eyed Mummy Cookies

One Eyed Mummy Cookies from fivelittlechefs.com is a super quick Halloween treat kids can make themselves! #mummy #halloween

Every Friday night we have family movie night. The last movie we watched was Monsters Inc. It seemed like a perfect movie to watch in preparation for Halloween! We wanted to make a mummy cookie but after watching the show we decided to make a one eyed mummy. This is one of those easy recipes made from pre-made cookies and a Wilton mummy package perfect for a school or home party. Kids are able to make their own. It takes almost the same amount of time to make it as it does to eat it.

We used Nabisco Nutter Butter Cookies and the Wilton Mummy Cupcake Decorating Kit.

Yep that’s right, only two items to buy. Each person gets one Nutter Butter cookie, one eye, and one mummy wrap. Wrap the Nutter Butter with the wrap however you desire. There is no wrong and no right way. Tuck the eye under the wrap where the head would be and you are done. It is simple as that!

One Eyed Mummy Cookies from fivelittlechefs.com is a super quick Halloween treat kids can make themselves!I’m usually a make from scratch type of person when it comes to food but because of our latest family ordeal I have since found value in using packaged items. The Little Chefs usually help make all the party food which takes forever because I am a make from scratch mom. Our Halloween party food this year will be quick and easy to prepare. Not only will we have these One Eyed Mummy Cookies, but we will also have Pumpkin Shaped Cinnamon Rolls, Tombstone Pudding Cups, Creepy Crawly Jigglers and more to come! We will also be going on a walk through the neighborhood using our Halloween Scavenger Hunt cards.

All this easy food planning is leaving more time to get our costumes ready. My Little Chefs have been planning for weeks and adding more and more details to their costumes! They definitely are excited and having fun in the process!

I am a mom to Five Little Chefs who love to cook and create anything with their hands. Watching over 10 additional hands keeps me busy but is so much fun! We laugh and cry everyday, but then want to do it again the next day. That is how we know we are enjoying life!
