Eggnog Cookies
 
Ingredients
  • COOKIE DOUGH
  • ¾ cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup white sugar
  • ¾ cup brown sugar
  • ¾ cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 egg yolks
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ICING
  • ⅛ cup eggnog
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Cream sugar and butter together with a mixer. Add eggnog, vanilla and egg yolks. Beat again on medium until smooth.
  3. In another bowl combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg. Add to sugar mixture and beat on low until just combined. Do not over mix.
  4. Using a cookie scoop place dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet 1 inch apart. Bake for 8 minutes or until edges and bottoms turn light brown.
  5. Let cool before applying icing.
  6. Combine all icing ingredients; eggnog, powdered sugar and cinnamon then beat until smooth.
  7. Add to the top of the cookies.
