Supplies:

  • wood flowers
  • circle disk
  • acrylic paint – a light and dark of each color
  • sponge
  • wire
  • wire cutter

Steps:

  1. Using the wood flower shape the wire. I know in the picture the flower is already painted but then I noticed the wire made marks on the wood flower and should be done first. Shape the wire around the outside of the flower.DIY Flowers with Wood and Wire Art is one of those crafts that has multiple uses. 2. When you are finished it should look like this.

  3. Because we shaped the wire on the outside of the flower it is too big. Smoosh the flower all together to make it smaller so it will fit inside the flower like this.

  7. Adhere the wire to the wood flower using hot glue. Try to glue only in the middle where the center disk will cover the glue.
  8. Glue the center disk on top of the wire. Now your flower is done!

Version 2

  1. Cut a piece of wire twice the length of one petal.
  2. Fold the wire in half.
  3. Repeat for a total of 3.
  4. Since my flower has 7 petals, I created one single piece of wire.
  5. Glue the wires to the wood flower with hot glue. Wood Flowers DIY with wire art.
  6. Glue the center circle on top of the wires. DIY Flowers with Wood and Wire Art is one of those crafts that has multiple uses. Make a magnet, attach it to a frame for diy gifts or many other ideas.

I am a mom to Five Little Chefs who love to cook and create anything with their hands. Watching over 10 additional hands keeps me busy but is so much fun! We laugh and cry everyday, but then want to do it again the next day. That is how we know we are enjoying life!

These are so adorable. I am building a special “wall” for my daughters that include flowers. I think instead of painting them on I will try these. They offer so much more character.

You should paint the wire with glow in the dark paint so it looks like neon! Thanks for posting. Hello from Treasure Box Tuesday.
