Halloween Treat Favor

Halloween Treat Favor

This school year is the first year in a very long time that I do not have a Preschooler. Each year the preschoolers would have a cute Halloween party and each child brought treats to exchange. My Little Chefs always looked forward to that day! It is ironic that this year when I have no preschooler I create a fun favor.

This Halloween Treat Favor is made from a piece of patterned paper folded into an envelope where you can place a treat. Close the envelope and attach a circle with an embellishment and you are done.

Materials:

  • patterned halloween themed paper
  • adhesive
  • 2″ circle punch (or cut your own using a glass as a guide)
  • halloween embellishment
  • Print template #61

Choose your favorite Halloween themed paper. Use template #61 to cut the shape.

Fold the bottom flap up first then the two sides inward and glue together.pocket

Now you have a fun little envelope. Slip in your favorite treat. Fold the top flap down and glue in place.

Cut a 2″ circle from a coordinating solid paper. Use a circle punch or find a glass about 2″ to use as a guide. To create the pumpkin and spider I used the Cricut Mini because I love how it is used is used with my computer. I was able to choose the pumpkin or spider shape from the free images that come with the machine. Since I was able to see the size on the screen I was able to scale the pumpkin to just under 2″. I was also able to scale the spider to just over 2″. I like how the spider extends over the yellow circle. Attach the circle and the embellishment on top of the closed envelope and you are done!

This was a fun to make with my Little Chefs they want to make one for each of the trick or treaters this year! Sorry but that isn’t happening but we could do it for a party.

I am a mom to Five Little Chefs who love to cook and create anything with their hands. Watching over 10 additional hands keeps me busy but is so much fun! We laugh and cry everyday, but then want to do it again the next day. That is how we know we are enjoying life!
