The Legend of the Tooth Ninja Book Review

When Little Chef Dad was growing up his mother told them stories about Sammy and Tommy. Sammy was always the bad child and Tommy was always the good. His mom would teach them life lessons such as sharing through these stories. Occasionally Little Chef Dad will tell Sammy and Tommy stories to our kids.

What if these stories were written down and made into a book? I would have no problem retelling the stories that I do not know.

We all tell stories to our kids whether it be at bedtime or to help them through sticky situations. What do we do next? We do as Little Chef Dad, we tell the same story to the next child because the first child will say remember the story you told me about Sammy and Tommy? Tell it again.

Stephanie Ream found herself in one of those sticky situations one night when she discovered the Tooth Ninja. She didn’t stop there as most of us do. She created a children’s book! The Legend of the Tooth Ninja

As the story is told, the tooth fairy is not the only one who collects teeth. The Tooth Ninja has a need for them as well. This action packed story keeps my kids wondering what is going to happen next. It is filled with excitement and wonder. How is a paperclip, rubber band and a ninja drink going to help him solve his problem? What about the other ninjas and the fire breathing dragon? How does the fairy help? What creative weapon will the ninja make next?Toothninja6a

This is one of those rhyming books that I love to read. The story flows because of the rhyme and my kids attention span is lengthened because of it. Little Chef A read the story and had this to say about it.

It is a very brilliant story that combines the tooth fairy and ninjas. I was entertained reading each page. The pictures are interesting how they support the story. It’s almost as if the pictures can tell the story.

I love the colorful illustrations. When searching for books to read my kids I pay close attention to both the words and the pictures. Kids learn so much about the story through the pictures. My kids “read” books by themselves by looking at the pictures before they are able to read the words. These pictures are no different. My little ones are able to understand the story by listening to the words being confirmed by these wonderful images.

The Tooth Ninja needs YOUR help.

Help fund the Tooth Ninja by going to their Kickstarter page and sharing the page with others.

The purpose of the page is to fund the printing of 1,000 hard bound Tooth Ninja books and to pay the wonderful artist. Sometimes with Kickstarter it takes a while to get your product. This 28 page full color hard bound book is already completed. That means once it is fully funded the timeline will be shortened to receive the book. I love hard bound books with kids because they stay nicer for a longer period of time. With so many readers in my house our soft back books do not look gently used, they look well used.

I wish I had this book when my kids were little. I would have gotten them each a book and then in the front cover I would have dated each lost tooth and what was left behind. They could then share it with their kids years later.

Jump on over to Kickstarter to watch the video the author created about The Legend of the Tooth Ninja and consider being a backer.

I am a mom to Five Little Chefs who love to cook and create anything with their hands. Watching over 10 additional hands keeps me busy but is so much fun! We laugh and cry everyday, but then want to do it again the next day. That is how we know we are enjoying life!
